DeivantArt A wealth Of Ideas

Deviantart is a gold mine of ideas in polymer clay. The artist members in my opinion are some of the best out there today. Some of the skill sets you wont find anywhere else on the web. Once you join up, you can commission an artist to create something custom or a piece they already created. Not to mention the site encourages you to post comments to the artist to show appreciation for the work done. Check out this artist   " prigionieradiunsongo.deviantart.com " Here are her examples in polymer clay. Enjoy!

Surprise …Surprise...

What a nice surprise to find at Walgreens of all places… Polymer cane slices! For your nails of course… But at Walgreens? I used to have to order canes from Etsy or Ebay… Now I can find a few various styles of canes at the local drug store.. Who Knew? And the best part of all is that they were in the dollar & two dollar section… Awesome find for a buck or two

I have always loved Maleficent and the Evil Queen since I was a child… So of course I wanted to create something along that theme… Thus Maleficent Horns!! I had to make a few in order to begin to get it right… Here are a few attempts at the horns….

My other passion is miniatures…playscale or dollhouse scale it doesn't matter to me… I started collecting as well as creating a number of years ago… then I finally bought a house in which to place them… after a while I got tired of the cookie cutter dollhouses and displays… So I asked my husband to create a modern styled house for my more modern miniatures… During the so called construction of my new house… I started creating minis to go inside it… I have always had an aquarium in my house and I wanted one for my dollhouse in miniature… either they cost an arm and a leg and possibly youre first born child! so I decided I could make my own …I found that I could create my own with out spending allot of money on it… And here is what I came up with… I purchased small glass boxes online.. on ebay I purchased the mini fish and microbeads… and the rest of the aquarium decor I got at michaels crafts… I filled it up with a resin mixture…which took a couple of tries to many in my opinion… and here they are….

Maleficent Inspired Clay

Ever since I heard about the new Disney movie coming out " Maleficent" …I have been counting the days until the 30th of this month… So I figured I would try my hands at creating something along that theme…Maleficent's horns have always been amazingly COOL! and the fact that she can turn into a dragon…seriously does it get any better? Granted she could use a maid to dust the castle… and an interior designer couldn't hurt either.. Anyway, here are my attempts at my first themed sets...

Creating Stuffs...

I have always loved creating and working with my hands… So after discovering polymer clay I was hooked. And of course starting out nothing you make looks like what yu wanted to create in the first place… Or at least for that is… But after involving my children we all got  into clay for a minute… I'm th only one who stuck with it, but their input was enjoyable. So here are a few things I created after about a couple of months of frustration…
